Im on maintenance now! Just let me confess upfront that I have been BAD! BUT I am back on track and being serious about staying on track. My first day of maintenance was last Wednesday which would have been 5 days ago. BUT I stopped my water intake and worked out on Thursday. I have totally confused my body and now it's rebelling. To top it off I celebrated my daughters birthday and cheated a Little. And by a little I mean I ate 2 tortillas and a slice of cake (no frosting), and then to top it off I drank 2 mock margaritas and of course they had sugar in them.. BAD MISTY! I found out for myself what I have preached all along that once you start down that compromising cheaters trail something sets off a trigger and you almost feel convinced you have lost all self control.
Well confession is good for the soul so I have come clean and vetted all my weaknesses. Now it's time to FOCUS on being good to myself because I AM WORTH IT!!! I AM WORTH THE SACRIFICE! And in the end I feel great and happier!
Moving onward and upward!

HCG Still Maintaining!
Just checking in again!
Well I believe I am pretty ready to begin my next round of HCG. I have maintained my weight at about 215. This morning however I woke up to 216.6. This is not my first time bouncing around.
What I have learned during maintenance:
Well I believe I am pretty ready to begin my next round of HCG. I have maintained my weight at about 215. This morning however I woke up to 216.6. This is not my first time bouncing around.
What I have learned during maintenance:
- You CANNOT eat whatever you want. I say this because many people believe that because your metabolism is re-set that now you have some kind of immunity to weight gain. I don't blieve that is true. I truly believe that HCG is the solution to quick, and healthy weightloss. I also coach all my clients to begin to re-think their eating and exercise habits. It's like that old addage, "If you continue to so what you've always done, you will always have what you have always received."
- You MUST, MUST, MUST continue your 2 liter water intake. This is a must and you need to resolve to make this a part of your everyday life.... FOREVEEERRRR! = )
- You must exercise. Period. Im not saying you need to get a gym membership, but you might want to consider this investment in yourself. You truly need to begin atleast walking. I believe this is especially true in your first months of maintaining your new weight. Until you have completely changed your eating habits, you might fall back into some bad habits. This won't be as devistating to your new weight if you have added exercise.
- When you begin Maintenance and then Lifelong Maintenance it is important to "introduce" carbs and sugars s-l-o-w-l-y. I have noticed a couple of things can happen when you don't take your time with this process, constipation, water retention, weight gain, and then lack of mental determination and focus. Constipation and water retention tend to happen for two reasons, a reaction almost like shock to change and in some cases the foods your eating maybe too fattening or may cause constipation. Another reason for this is not continuing your water intake and fruit snacks twice a day. Fruit and water has a great way of just keeping things moving and eliminating that "hungry" feeling. This is especially true the older you are. When our weight begins to get out of control (up 3+ pounds) we might panic or give up and feel "this is just like all the other times" and give in to our weight gain. DON'T!
Finally, I just have to say I am so excited about my progress. I really believe that because I know what to expect this next round, it may be easier. I also know that many times people believe they can manipulate the system because they have found "shortcuts". I don't believe in shortcuts but I do believe in experimenting. Which brings me to what I will do differently NEXT go round......
Check back for my next post to see what my NEW protocol will include!
