HCG Day 20 - 220.6!!!! 21.0 lbs released R1P2

Helllllooooo Again!

It's been about 2 weeks since my last post SO sorry! =-(

Let me catch you up on my EXCITING journey. I have learned a lot from this experience and all the research I have been doing. So first things first.....

The Diet:
I have not cheated! Yeah really pretty amazing huh? I have had days when I didn't drink enough water or took my drops incorrectly. For the ladies, I didn't know that it is beneficial to start the protocol just after your menstrual cycle ends. I began my menstrual cycle a week and a half into phase 1, day 11 to be exact. Well I can at least tell you what to expect should you find yourself in this same predicament. My cycle usually last 7 days. During that time I had 3 days in which I stalled, then on day 4, I gained 1 pound. On day 5 I released that pound and I didn't begin losing again until the day after my cycle ended. Up until that point I had lost 17 pounds. The day after my menstrual cycle ended was Day 18 and I released 1 lb, on Day 19 I releases 1 lb and then today Day 20 I released 2 MORE POUNDS!!!!! YAY!

This is a big day for me, I have lost 10% of my weight and I have hit my first goal of 20 pounds, 21 pounds to be exact. I'm very proud of myself and thankful for God's help in keeping me disciplined.

I still cook everyday for my family and for myself. THIS is one of my greatest challenges ESPECIALLY since I love food and I love to cook! I taste as I go and so it can be hard to put dinner out there when I'm not sure if I have seasoned it correctly. BUT I have used this time to bring my kids into the kitchen more than ever before. This not only keeps me accountable but it teaches them how to cook too!

I can honestly say that at this point I am kinda bored with cooking the same ingredients. Even though I have become very creative and really do enjoy most of what I prepare I am just bored with the same limited ingredients. I DO NOT MIX VEGETABLES AT ALL!!! I say that because many protocols out there allow mixing. They even allow salsa. I really want to finish well and without doubt that I have done everything to the best of my ability.

Another reason I want to stay true is that I have decided to open my own Homeopathic HCG website. I will offer mentoring, recipes, tips, and HCG! This whole opportunity just fell into my lap. I have begun selling bottles and it's flying off the shelves! I am my own walking billboard and so are my clients, sooooo wish me well! You can find me at www.HCGDirectConnection.com.

HCG Day Four 234.6!!!! -2.2 lbs R1P2

Triple WOWIEEE!

How's that for a cool hat trick? Im sooo psyched!
Here are some things I am noticing:
  • I am still pretty hungry by lunch BUT as long as I take my drops on time I'm actually still pretty good til dinner.
  • I am being militant about my water intake! Even though I have about 4 cups of green tea a day I dont count that towards my 2 liters per day even though you can, I don't.
  • I DO use balsamic vinegar atleast on one meal a day. I KNOW many people out there will tell me that I'm not supposed to but while my daughter was on HCG she used balsamic and she lost over 20 lbs so I'm cool with that.
  • My stomach is defianately re-shaping. I'm not certain if this is due to it being alot more empty or if as many say thats where you lose first. Who knows? I don't care! I'm just lovin' it!
  • I am always thirsty now even to the point of not being able to swallow comfortably because my throat is so dry. Let me preface this by saying that this is not uncommon for me whenever I attempt to increase my water intake. I think it might be because I am so dehydrated because I never drink enough water that when my body begins to get what it needs it wants more and more.... this may not make sense but it's what happens to me atleast.
  • I'm getting that feeling you get when your arms don't automatically touch your waist feeling. Kinda cool.
  • I'm noticing my face looks, I don't rosier? Prettier in the morning? Whatever it is I don't look so tired in the morning.

Im looking forward to coming up with more "HCG Approved" recipes and sharing them.

HCG Day Three 236.8!!!! -2.2 lbs 1/06/10 R1P2

Double Wow AGAIN!
I'm actually pretty surprised but I'm working on staying positive and expecting the best. Visualization is a gret tool so I am always imagining myself being active and healthy.

Since I am going to be selling HCG Sublingual drops I have been doing alot of research and I can't believe how many deviations out there on the basice protocol by Simeons. Simeone addresses the temptation to alter the diet and has said they have already tried to make this as attractive as they can and that using other vegetables other than the ones listed, even if they do have a lower calorie content, doesn't work in the long run.

My sister was sharing with me all the things her HCG protocol allows her to do that Simeons doesn't. I must say it definately looked more attractive...... BUT I made a commitment to not cheat on my protocol so that I can inspire others and relate to their struggles.

I guess I could be a kind of diet Jesus to them! LOL

HCG Day Two 239!!!! -2.6 lbs 1/05/10 R1P2

WOW!!!! WOW!!! WOW!!!
I'd love to say I can't believe it but I really can believe it after seeing results like this from other friends on the protocol.
So how did Day One feel?
Well the morning went by pretty easy, it was almost like I was waiting for something to happen like a headache or weakness but I did pretty good. I did my morning HCGdrops first thing in the morning Im a BIG coffe in the morning person but I have chosen to substitute green tea and Splenda. At around 10am I had an orange.THEN IT HAPPENNED! At around 11:30 I began to get hunger pangs. I had heard that you should wait half an hour from when you take HCG to eat so I took my drops and began to prepare mine and my daughters lunch. (Have I mentioned she is like around day 30). Any way I prepared some poached shrimp with a lemon dill marinade/dressing over raw spinach. It was good. I would have liked more variety but it satisfied me.

I had my second orange around 3, funny how it was the BEST tasting orange EVER!!! I didnt want it to ever end! LOL

I stayed busy going shopping for wedding stuff (daughter) and when I got back at around 6pm I was soooooo ready to eat. Thank goodness for my dear hubby who agreed to fix dinner for the tribe. I ate much the same as lunch only with chicken this time.

ABOUT AN HOUR AFTER DINNER IT HIT! I wanted MORE FOOD!!! The kids, everything was getting on my nerves. I retreated early to the bedroom and did more research on HCG. I watched a vLog (video log) of someone and learned what NOT to do and what to do.

SOME TIPS:
WATER WATER WATER!!! Drink over 2 liters a day.
Green Tea is a great option for you coffee drinkers.
The first week is hardest, give yourself permission to retreat to your room.
Eat slllooowwwlllyyy. Make it last. Take note of it. You dont want to feel short changed.
Get creative with your recipes.

Day One - 241.6 Jan 4 2010

Okay so the reason for this Blog is to chronicle my journey to become a healthier fitter version of myself in 2010. Believe it or not I had promised myself that I would get to under 200 pounds by my birthday this year, this was after I had promised myself I would get under 200 by my 40th birthday..... I am 43 now and will be 44 on February 27.

Everybody and their mother (literally) is on this HCG. Im begining to get a complex because everytime I go to church I'm looking bigger and bigger because everyone else is shrinking! So when my daughter decided to try HCG my first thought was "OH NO!" I was immediately worried that she would try some get slim quick diet and then put all the weight back on. As far as putting all the weight back on, well time will tell. But for now I have researched all the research and I feel pretty comfortable that as long as you adhere to the maintenance plan you're good to go.

So just to clarify I am doing the sublingual HCG. I began my drops 2 days ago and also began my two day binge. Today is my first VLCD (very low calorie diet). I have taken my drops, had a cup of green tea and my morning orange. I think the hardest part for now will be when at around 12pm my body realizes it's not getting coffee. I am really big on what you think is what you get so I won't dwell on this or assume I will be miserable I'm gonna stay positive.
